Is there any updates on a new airfile so this Skywarrior will fly properly. I also feel the old A-3 skywarrior that was produced flew better at slow speeds. Please update it so we can put this problem to bed finally. Thanks

Who are you asking to update it?

You mean the Alphasim A-3?

Not much was done in the port; it's not even an FSX model, which makes me feel pretty stupid to have paid for it twice.

IMHO it should just be enjoyed under FS2004, where it flies best and doesn't cause performance issues due to being a half-hearted portover.

Hello Denny, Alphasim did a second series for the A-3 skywarrrior and it was for FS9 and FSX port please see the linkhttp://www.alphasim3.com/store/product_info.php?products_id=259&osCsid=5f99e5bef8bca7c275688218d1526620. The ballooning i am talking about when I slow the plane down to 130kts with a notch or 2 of flaps in the plane reduces airspeed and climbs like a rocket in altitude. With full flaps i can get her to stall around 90kts. full weight. I was asking whoever is kind enough to fix this problem.

Have you posted your request/demand over at the AlphaSim forums, if they have one? They made it, they can fix it.

I see that you found that this very issue was discussed earlier this year at the Unofficial Alphasim site:

http://www.virtualavia.com/alphasim/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?490.10

If you read carefully, at least I found (FSX SP2) that by using the old FS9 airfile and the newer FSX air.cfg file, these issues stopped and it is now pretty nicely trappable on a carrier.

Saw a new flight model at Flightsim this morning. Maybe it fixes things?

http://www.flightsim.com/o/a-3bupxa.gif http://www.flightsim.com/wbicons/fcq1.gif FSX Douglas A-3 Skywarrior Update. This is an update for FSX Acceleration of the Alphasim A-3B Skywarrior. The author has redone the flight dynamics, added the fourth wheel, instead of having it a scrape point. Also adds a nav/GPS switch to the panel, made the autopilot a bit bigger, changed the GPS, and made minor changes to the background picture. There is a virtual cockpit but none of the gauges are clickable. This is the whole aircraft. By Bob Chicilo.

The A-3 is a very simple model with very simple VC, and it doesn't have much impact at all :)
