yes it is TRUE FSX, so you can add your own VC if you wanted to at the moment, but a C17 VC is under construction as we speak, so the final version will have a VC. but if you wanted to fly it now, it does not have one

to get BETA downloads you need to be a CLUB MEMBER, not a REGULAR MEMBER. details of the permissions you have are on our home page. It is a priviledge of our CLUB MEMBERS to get access to BETA products as I develop them. CLUB access is a once only LIFETIME payment of £9.99 and gets extra support on the site aswell as free use of our online flight and TS servers.:applause:. Still cheaper than many payware versions you might find, even just for one aircraft, but you get lifetime access to all our BETA products, plus some downloads ONLY accessable to CLUB MEMBERS

UKMIL
September 5th, 2009, 07:36
nope, there is a huge shortage of FDE specialists, so i ended up putting one together myself, so it is not perfect. However, if anyone here thinks they can do it justice, they will get a FREE CLUB account to allow them access to the bETA:ernae:

External model is looking very nice. If I may make on suggestion based on the screenshots (not a club member so I can't look at it "in person" in the sim), maybe it would be good to add more reflection/depth (not sure of the best word) to the cockpit windows? They look sort of...washed out. I think they would benefit from looking darker.

I downloaded and installed this great production this morning but like Daube I have seem to have some problems. Everything else is fine and I am enjoying and am very grateful for this freeware.

Look at the screenshot posted by Wilycoyote at post #51.
The HUD support structure is totally black, it seems that it is not textured.
Same goes for the parts that are under and behind the rudder pedals.
It's just an impression from the screenshot. I'm at the office so I can't download and test right now.

It looks funny in-sim though...the untextured black looks like a formless void of darkness. In real life (to me at least) when I look at something that's black, I can still see the contours of it and a bit of texture.

Many a/c these days are released with internal reflections on windows and dirty glass reducing visibility out the windows. Pardon my saying so, but the windows and hud of the C17 are particularly "dirty", or have to much opacity and reflection of the sun. Would be very nice if they were more transparent or totally so in alternate set of windows and hud.

Thats not a error. look at some of Mike Stones C-17 in that area and also Alphasim's recent external release. Just for a reference here is a pic of alphasim's FSX C-17 in the same region and as you can see its also there. So the UKMIL C-17 is spot on.
