With a few nice surprises once again! :applause:
The weather was changing all the time, from dark and overcast to sunny and almost clear, and the rapid changes made for some good photo opportunities. First timers for the Aviodrome were the Christophe Jacquard owned Spitifre PR.XIX and Flug Werk FW-190-A8/N replica, returning visitors included Market Garden and D-Day veteran C-47 'Drag-'em-oot' and the Scandinavian Historic Flight A-26 Invader and P-51D ' Old Crow'.
Also for the first time on display was the Lelystad-based Yak-3U, with the Stinson V-77 Reliant making an appearance too.
Aircraft flown today included the Stinson, Fouga Magister, C-47 and DC-3; the Yak and P-51 arrived at the end of the day and did a short display before landing. The museum stayed open for over an hour longer just so the visitors could see this pair arrive.
The A-26 was supposed to fly but during engine tests a magneto failed accompagnied by a few loud bangs. The FW-190 had an oil leak in the prop adjust mechanisms o it couldn't do the planned engine run.
