I flew Lago's AMX for a long time and that one has never been produced beyond that early work. . .also the AlphaJet and will someone please produce an F-100 Super Saber, the only one of the Century Aircraft yet to be done and yet the one that started it all. . .amazing.

Brewster F2A Buffalo, Doudlas TBD Devastator, Bell P-39, Grumman F4F. We'll have to wait for our intrepid freeware developers for these planes, though. Payware outfits only make the "popular" planes! And while we're at it, how about a B-18 and a B-10? :)

Ya. Because its hard to sell an un-popular aircraft! Lol.

I think someone is workin on a SBD for ya. I think its Realflight?

As for what I would want to see flying in FSX, I love the WWII "X planes"

B-35/49

I wouldent mind doing a P-39. Always had a warm place in my heard for the Cobra since flying it a lot in IL2. I modeled the P-63 in IL2 because I liked flying the P-39 so much. Brewster? I only liked flying it when I wanted to humiliate n00bs on arcade servers who try to turn fight it in a FW-190.

The Alphasim SR-71 was so lovingly made, it's timeless. Have you tried it? It doesn't get much better than that.

Who knows when we'll see the BUFF. I used to say the Captainsim model was years out, and that was years ago. I'm sure they may dig it out and do a little work now and then, but it doesn't seem important to them.

Tim, although you show a highy ambitious list of 174 different airplanes, it's sad to note that there are only about a dozen that happened during WWII or earlier. We did some flying back then, in the "olden days".
How about a nice Marauder, B-26, a mainstay in the E.T.O. In spite of everybody's favorite, the B-17G.

I have yet to see an aircraft made for MSFS that got it more wrong than these. The sounds are dead wrong, the flight model is atrocious and the looks were dated then. The flight model alone ruined the whole feel of this aircraft.

Wow, you are seriously considering the build of a Jaguar, a Pilatus PC-6, and TSR-2 and a Huey ? That's cool !
There was a PC-6 Turbo Porter with a virtual cockpit for FS9 back in time, there is also a Huey with a basic virtual cockpit on HoverControl, There is a Jaguar with VC but it was bringing my FS9 to its knees for an unknown reason. Never saw a TSR-2 with virtual cockpit yet.

I'm surprised there's no Flanker on your list, though. There's never been a single freeware Flanker with virtual cockpit in the whole FS history.

Don't worry you have already made some FSX plane, which I haven't been able to fly yet.

However when you find some time after this 14.5 years this might be the one I like to see. I know this one has been on your list for quite a long time, but it hasn't been mentioned in this thread yet.

thanks in advance

ahhh - well I like their Waco QCF certainly - even if a little more texture on the wings would be welcome.

I've been begging them to do an FSX-native update of the QCF, which in my opinion is the most beautiful biplane ever made.

is there a decent Tiger Moth for FSX?

is anyone working on a Stearman Kaydet?

is anyone making a Great Lakes 2T-1A ?

will there ever be a full pop Staggerwing or Stinson Reliant SR5?

whatever happened to the Ryan STA - was that Boomer that mentioned one in the works ?

I wish I was a 3d modeler maestro...too bad you can't just take a pill or listen to a CD in your sleep and wake up talented - the 2000's are nothing like we were promised they'd be back in the '60s :kilroy: haha

Pretty good taste, I´d sign that! :d

A Stearman or a Ryan like A2A does the Cub now, that would be great, I guess I wouldn´t stand a chance not to buy something like that...

It'd be nice to see the Dassault Rafale. At least the M, for carrier practice.:kilroy:
All the Rafale models are coming soon for FSX, native and freeware.
One of them is made by Roland Laborie, the guy that did the Mirage 2000N, Mirage 2000-5 (native FSX) and Mirage IV. That should tell you what kind of quality you can expect from this Rafale ;)

A Stearman, that it may be not, young grasshopper, but a double wing and Wright thát it has. It is often mistaken for a Stearman Kaydet.

Not having seen mentioned here, not surprisingly, as i had never even heard of it before i got involved with the MAAM a couple years ago, but we think there might be a couple of sailors around here who will appreciate this little tweetie bird. She floats too you know.

Now that would be interesting..I live about hours drive from the PAC factory.

http://www.aerospace.co.nz/

The low wing design is because its derived from the PAC Cresco which in turn was derived from the Fletcher ..which dates back to the 1950s. The Fletcher was designed by John Thorp (ie Piper Cherokee, Thorp T-18 (note bent wing)).

Deane Baunton has made a FSX/FS9 Fletcher and a Turbo Fletcher and is working on a Cresco which is a bit like a 750XL, only smaller

It covers everything from darn ugly to dead-on sexy and you learn to appreciate how pretty complicated looking elements are really simple at a closer look.

However, it still is a nightmare to model at times. Should've picked an easier plane for a start. 732 or Mercure or so.

I love these wish list threads... OK, here's a few that I'd really like to see in FSX...

[...] D-17 Staggerwing

Yes, a Staggerwing would be nice!:applause:

Reference the notion of the PAC 750 XL as a bush plane, flying in RTMM country:

Now that would be interesting..I live about hours drive from the PAC factory.

http://www.aerospace.co.nz/

The low wing design is because its derived from the PAC Cresco which in turn was derived from the Fletcher ..which dates back to the 1950s. The Fletcher was designed by John Thorp (ie Piper Cherokee, Thorp T-18 (note bent wing)).

Deane Baunton has made a FSX/FS9 Fletcher and a Turbo Fletcher and is working on a Cresco which is a bit like a 750XL, only smaller

I'm more than a little chuffed over the idea seeing this cab done in a modern format.

Here's a bit of an airshow demo of the aircraft:

Nanchang CJ-6. The Chinese haven't offered much in the creation of aircraft. However, the CJ-6 is a modified Yak 18. And they produced +/- 3,000 of them (includes all variants). That's a pretty good model run! Plus, they even used a Chinese 9 cylinder radial (Zhoutzhou HS6A). Probably the best, if not only way, to represent Chinese aviation.

It would be great to see this series of models redone for FSX. Original modeler could even release them in a couple of payware packages, land planes in one and floaties in another, nudge, wink :mixedsmi:. I still fly them occasionally even after all this time. The radials have that great bush plane look to them.

One of my favorites, that always seems to be the last to be done, is the Heinkel He-100

It was a very impressive plane that was over looked.

It would be a very good addation to FSX. Just my option.

I totally agree about the He-100... I could make the same statement about the Fw-187 and Ta-154 as well...

and then there's one of my favorite biplanes- the Avia B-534- I'd love to see a nice new model of that...

I would love to see the Heinkel 112B. It saw operational service with several air forces and had striking looks with its rear-vision canopy and elliptically shaped gull wings.
Otherwise any interwar fighter is welcome!
