Hello gents :)

I know SOH is combat oriented, and I much prefer that sort of flying to airliners, but I've got to say I've developed a bit of affection for the 727 by Captain Sim.

I reviewed the Captain Sim 727 and I'd be very happy if you checked it out here-

A true "Iron Knuckles" airplane.

The 2-7 and DC-9 are two of my favorite tube liners.

Definitely loads better than something with an FMC and glass cockpit in my book.

Awesome feeling to land well :D

My friends that flew the 727 always loved it, but in the modern ATC environment the capabilities of the glass cockpit and modern navigation capabilities are becoming increasingly necessary.

A thing that has always been disturbing me about the 727 is its three man crew.
It just simply doesn't fit quite to a short to medium range plane.

I find the 1-11, DC-9 and 737 way better (say "more efficient") in that regard.

Flew many times in the 727 and it was a sweet tube, quiet and fast for its time, will always have good memories of it. Now I fly it all the time when I need a tube to get me to some remote country where the mission begins..........

It's definitely a classic old girl, that's for sure.
