Note that these specular maps will work with any scheme; you can use them for backwards compatibility with old repaints. Spread the word, but please don't re-upload.

Note that you will need to rename teture.ne100 to texture.ne100; sorry, but I didn't think it was worth re-uploading 40mb over a typo.

By chance does anyone know if there are any repaints out there (or on the drawing board) for the other country that operates the Tomcat?

Quite true. At the same time there's a certain 'suspension of disbelief' thing that happens with any virtual experience. For some, that can apply to model variants. Well, for me at least it does...

Very cool!

The Tomcat finally lived up to it's potential (and more) when the D model came out. It wasn't exactly intended to be a strike fighter back in the day.

I like the new paints. Thank you! My impression, though, is that ver 1.00 loads textures a lot slower. Am I imagining this?

I like them, had some nice traps yesterday, thanks a lot for the pack!

It is really amazing what freeware can bring up these days, operating Dino´s F-14 with these paints from Javier´s Nimitz during thunderstorm with Freetrack is a stunning experience!

I would love to see a VX-9 scheme, not the black "Vandy One" with the playboy bunny on the tail, although that would be nice - rather the low-vis grey scheme ... The Black Bunny seen here was actually operated by VX-4 at Pt. Mugu.

... also a livery for the PMTC (Pacific missile Test Center) F-14D test aircraft.

I came up with some decent photos of the PMTC Cat, as well as some of the VX-4 low vis schemes which look quite nice.

Incidentally, in one of the PMTC pics, the hangar behind the aircraft says Guantamo Bay, in actuality it is at NAS Point Mugu, where some of the scenes for "A Few Good Men" were filmed.

Any chance for a VX-9 Black Tomcat? The bunny one or the one with the vampire logo, I had a poster of that one in my room for quite some time, got to look if I can find it....

Ok guys, I have been out of the loop for several weeks now, with regards to Dino's wonderful Tomcat, and all the mods/versions. These great repaints by Zaku were/are intended for Version 1.0, right? Well, if I have the most recent of Dino's Tomcat installed, what do I need to do to install the repaints correctly?

Zaku quick question, I see that it states in the initial post that these textures "Requires F-14D v1.00".

Will these skins work with the latest version 1.06 too released on 19Aug?

Yeah; they should work with any future revisions, too, since Dino doesn't plan any mapping changes as far as I know.

Thank you for all the outstanding re-paints...I currently have uh ALL of the them. The Estovakian Navy is very cool repaint, its nice to see someone thinking outside the box for a change and not stick to the "norm".

I know some re-painters will only do real world aircraft, but as one memeber said once before...this is a SIM world.

I look forward to the next set of re-paints and have one question...ever think about doing one in a marpat...

I think this would look very cool on a Tomcat...
