View Full Version : Airfile question

I have an aircraft that is finished from my perspective. I built the model and the airfile was made by someone else. The aircraft flies beautifully, for a giant 4-engine bomber that is, but when used as an AI plane it just steadily loses altitude until it eventually crashes. I made an 4-engined Arado (and butchered the airfile myself) and it did the same thing. Is there a fix for this without reworking the whole airfile? I like it exactly the way it is, so I don't want to ruin it by monkeying with it too much . . .

Bismark, what sim?

I do a lot of AI conversions with FS9 and use different airfiles for the AI in cases where the original airfile doesn't perform well. I've got a bunch of airfiles that work well as AI and install one of those that best matches the performance while changing the contact points to match the model used.

Hope this helps

It is CFS2. I also made a FS9 version of the aircraft with more animations. The FS9 version won't take off with the original airfile so I am trying to piece something together using stats from similar sized aircraft and cutting and pasting with aired . . . .
I had airwrench but it has stopped working and I can't get it to reinstall . . .

I'm sure Sparks can get you re-started with Air Wrench.

When you reinstall AirWrench on a new computer, new hard drive, reformatted hard drive, after a reinstallation of Windows, etc., AirWrench generates a new serial number and will only work in 'demo' mode until you get a new activation key. Send me the current serial number so I can generate a new activation key for you.

That is what happened. My operating system messed up and I had to do a system restore and apparently I went back to before I installed airwrench . . .

I would need your Email to send you the serial . . .

I am at bismarck13@msn.com

I didn't know that Sparks was Jerry B., guess I need to keep coming around here more . . .
I still have original email you sent me with the first serial code. Let me see if I can find it . . .

It's a good tool, make sure that you have the latest version, Jerry keeps improving it!

It paid for itself in saved time and aggravation the first few days I had it. I just got it going again and it made an unusable FS9 airfile fly like a champ in 10 minutes. I don't know how anyone can make airfiles without it to be honest with you . . .
