Down towards the bottom there seems to be a An-124 FSX Native. Im off to check her out. Keeping fingers crossed it is Native.

Says it's native with working VC. I will give it a shot to see how good it is.

Vodka Vodka please!!!!!:jump::ernae: its FSX native full VC and cargo views front and rear. Fully reacts under light bloom. Here is a few pics and also noted in readme in a few weeks the An225 makes her maiden FSX introduction:applause::applause::applause:. Now were is Stallin??

Sweet! Thomas Ruth did a 124 and 225 without a VC for Fs9 and I was hoping for this after his Airbus 330 & 340 release.

Wow, a Russian AN that I can actually read the dials on. . .I may go for this one. Never liked the "real as it get's" Russian versions that required a full semester of a Foreign language to start the engines.

Oh boy, a russian plane with a virtual cockpit is already something rare, but a FSX-native one has to be a collector !! Thanks a lot to the authors !! :ernae:
And thanks for the notification ;)

Indeed a rare FSX native treat. It's going to be stellar also to see a native An225 soon and hopefully a VC of quality like this one has. Anyone got a list of militarys or airlines that use the An-124 besides the Russian and Ukraine nations by chance?

An-225
August 8th, 2009, 18:51
The Ruskis and the Ukes are the only military operators of the An-124. Libyan Arab Air Cargo operate a few An-124s, and an airline from the UAE operates a single An-124.

There are plenty of repaint opportunities for the An-225 now too - check out this awful thing.
http://www.airliners.net/photo/Antonov-Design-Bureau/Antonov-An-225-Mriya/1563317/M/

That brings the list of An-225 paints to this:

~ Soviet era red-stripe with grey nose
~ Post-Soviet era red stripe with white nose and Antonov markings
~ Interim blue cheatline with grey underside
~ Ukrainian flag paint scheme

If anyone else could not get the Simviation DL:blind:, it is now up at FS.com!

I think this thread should be made a sticky, good native FSX freeware does not come along everyday!

I was friends with a girl who worked for customs in Canada, and they only allow one Antinov to land in Canada at a time due to "invasion."

Also, from her mouth to my ear, they stink really bad inside cause the crew all live inside of the plane, its like a submarine inside, but it stinks really bad. She acctually left the place she was working cause she does not want to step foot into another Antinov!

we were mulitplaying this plane up the other day, twas fun!

Nice paint, hope you'll release it soon ! :medals:

@Tim Horton
In brief---
Between about 1990 and 2000 I was a ramper at Anchorage International Airport here in my city. I marshalled in many AN-124 and got on board many, many times. Most or all of them were operated out of Stansted base in England. English reps (company representatives) handled customs and other matters as few Russians spoke English. In brief, I went into all parts of the aircraft, spoke with a few of the Russians who could speak a little English. I was inside the crew area in the rear upper deck area so I saw that part as well including the gallery with a sink which is the first thing you see as you reach the top of those rear stairs. There was a bunk room, too.

No AN-124 smelled bad.

D/L'd and flew her yesterday. Real nice. Reminds me of the AS C-5A.

Love the wing flex. She handles very well on final.

Looking forward to some awesome repaints for this one.

I'm currently refurbishing the cockpit with gauges from the Alphasim Mi-28 and Tu-22. I might post the results here later, so far it looks promising.

I've pretty much finished it. The gauges are a little out of place/the wrong size, and the panel isn't 100% accurate, but it is better than having Beechcraft or Mooney gauges.

http://img522.imageshack.us/img522/3448/refurbishedan124.jpg

I've placed the gauges to the best of my ability. I'm pretty sure the gauge behind the yoke is meant to be an AoA indicator. The one underneath the attitude indicator is definitely meant to be a HSI.

The attitude indicator itself is unrealistic, but closer than a Western airplane (I tried getting the attitude indicator from the Project Tupolev Tu-154, but I couldn't download it). The gauges were taken from the Alphasim Mi-28 and Tu-22.

I've been on a few former Soviet cargo airplanes. They're all dirty, stinky, cigarette smoke filled, lived on, beaten hard and could use some TLC when it came to maintenance. Yet, they all flew. There's nothing flashy about them.

thats right they're tough, mean looking and reliable, if they look beaten up they'll still fly... and gotta love the sound of them D-18T's

I switched over to default 747, turned #3 fuel on with no problem, all engines running.
Switched back to AN-124, #3 fuel cut off was engaged and number 3 not running.

Oops - forgot my login and attempted to login as 'An-124' before realising my mistake.

Anyone know if there is a value in the panel.cfg that denotes the size of a gauge in the virtual cockpit? I'd like to increase the size of my Tu-22 clock to cover up the black area left behind from the previous gauge.

I haven't fired up FSX to check but this entry may be
what you want to 'fiddle' with under the heading:

[Vcockpit01]

gauge46=KingAir!Clock, 7,480,163,144

The values represent:

X offset, Y offset, X gauge size, Y gauge size

You will need to adjust all four entries. Change the first
two to position the gauge to the upper left of the area, then adjust the size to fill the area.

EDIT: I just read back in the thread....if you replaced the original clock gauge, then
just find the entry for the replacement as what I posted above will be different.
The procedure for repositioning and resizing will be the same.

Haven't tried installing it yet as I just got back from vacation and installed the (NICE!) An-124. But there's a replacement cockpit available on FlightSim.com:

Name: an124_panel.zip (http://www.flightsim.com/kdl.php?fid=138119) Size: 2,435,470 Date: 08-23-2009
http://www.flightsim.com/o/an124_panel.gif FSX Panel--Antonov An-124. AN124 panel by Philippe Wallaert.

Also, the exhaust effect is misplaced on mine; press I and you get some smoke, but it's far below the engines. Anyone tweaked the coordinates on this?
