Version 2.0 is now available @ FSNorthwest.net.

Changes :

Tailboom and associated parts are now visable from the VC view in all varients.
Engine cooling fan animation is now working properly (How many of you even noticed?).

Now includes Military varients (Higher skids), 4077 MASH with litter carriers, and an Observation varient without.

Paint kit for military varients added. Also the float.psd added to make it easier to change float colors.

NOTE: No changes to the panel console in the military varient. I wanted to but could not find a suitable set of FSX compatible gauges so for now it will have to stay as is.

So :running: do not run to FSNorthwest (http://www.fsnorthwest.net/index.php)

Mike, you've done a great job with this classic heli and I really appreciate all the work you put into it. She is fun to fly and as a matter of fact, after installing Megascenery Earth for my home area, I took her up and cruised around to enjoy the sites. . .great stuff. . .thanks.:applause:

Great work Mike! :applause: She is really fun to fly!

If I knew what I was doing, I would do a USCG paint for the float version. Unfortunately, I don't, but maybe one of our talented re-painters here will give it a shot... :jump:

Thanks again for a great model! :ernae:

Nope not at all, the only gliche is in the opening page, there is some black text to the right that overlaps but once you enter the site everything is fine. The site itself looks no different or is less usable in Firefox. . .go for it. I posted a few screens to show what I see in Firefox:

Hi Mikrco, I just DL'd this and what a sweet little whirlybird it is...bravo! :applause:

I noticed that you had provided the option to have A2A 3D lights in the various aircraft folders (just change file names for the aircraft.cfg and panel.cfg files for those that weren't aware) and it is always nice to see a developer include those as an option on their aircraft.

I have added 3D lights to many dozens of AC now and was part of the original 3D lights dev team so I hope you don't mind me making a small suggestion. I took the liberty of tweaking the landing light position slightly as it was a bit 'off' and I also changed the fx call on the landing light to one that is angled down at 22° which makes it much more realistic IMHO.

For anyone who is interested here is the line change for the skid and float versions..............
light.6 = 5, 5.9, 0.0, -2.3, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow_down_22
and this is the line change for the Army versions..............
light.6 = 5, 5.9, -0.8, -2.3, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow_down_22
Simply open the respective aircraft.cfg file and copy and paste the corresponding line from above replacing the line that already exists. Save once pasted and you are good to go.

I just checked your permisions and they are working. You may have some other problem preventing your download. In the future please use the email staff@fsnorthwest.net or pm me from the site-it's quicker.

If it wasn't for the fact that I check in A SOH several times daily- well who knows how long it would have taken to find out you had a problem.

I am getting similar not authorized to download, maybe different reasons, I registered yesterday and it was accepted but I have recieved no email notification to activate the account, sent notification and request to resend activation notice so hopefully it will be picked up soon.

Not complaining just for info.

and the lower parts of the fuel tanks have a mirrored texture would it be posible to change this as well

Thanks

CAUTION: Viewing from inside the engine block could result in the pistons knocking the sh*t out of your brain housing group!

As far as the mapping goes - I'll keep that in mind if I do a version v3.0

I have the A2A Redux - but there is no "fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow_down_22" in my effects folder. Has there been an update recently?

I'm not sure how recent but there is an update with that affect and more.

A2A 3D Lights Redux v1.2 was released in April 2008. The following link is to the download page and it also shows what new features/effects were added.

How long does it take to get an e-mail confirmation? Some sites it is instant, do I have to wait for a manual one???...or have I screwed up again?

Some of us at CBFS are hoping to modify this Bell-47 (via source code and paint) to a military (but now also on the civil register) Westland Sioux AH1, used by the UK military for years.

I just need to DL the project, to set the ball rolling:icon_lol::icon_lol:

Thanks:icon29: I went back on-line after a couple of hours and the e-mail was there. The confirmation link says the forum is down for maintanance, so I will try again later, no rush!!! Just wanted to ensure I had not done something wrong.

Excellent work! :applause:

Any geniuses here know how to set one of these up for AI use with the Oshkosh AirVenture scenery at the old Pioneer Airfield, where classic Helo rides are being given all day at the real world event ?

It would be way cool to have this (and some AI sounds of the engine!) as a part of the AirVenture experience in FS. :cowboy: ;)

"Bell 47 Helicopter Flights

Flights in a unique pattern on a Bell 47 (M*A*S*H) helicopter operate from 8 a.m.- 6 p.m. Monday - Saturday, and on Sunday flights are available from Noon - 4 p.m."

Question

I have a repaint question for v2. I need to paint the fuel tanks one colour and their paniers another colour. The tanks and their paniers also have text on them. I've done the best I can, but so far I get this:

http://img12.imageshack.us/img12/2875/paniersandfueltanks2.jpg

The text and colour of the paniers appears to be repeated on the inboard section of the fuel tanks and is also repeated and reversed on on the inboard section of the paniers. Does anyone know how to get around this? Here is my Fuse_T:

http://img12.imageshack.us/img12/7852/xt511.jpg

If there is no way to get around it, can it be fixed in a V3?

Suggestions

1) In a v3 can the canopy textures be enlarged, so as to arrow dirt and scratches to be added? It would also be great to be able to add datum lines, as found on many Sioux, plus other logos.

http://www.aviationphoto.co.uk/AAC%20Historic%20Flight%20Sioux%20AH1%20XT131%20Ly dd%202007.jpg

2) Can the horizontal stabiliser be mapped such that is can be painted a different colour (unless someone knows how to do this already with v2)?

Many thanks

Andy

As my desk top computer died on me I'm relying on my memory so I can't be 100% sure. But try this layout and see if it work for you.

Ooh, that sounds nasty! I hope your PC gets fixed/replaced soon.

Moving the text give me the following. The text is on the bottom half of the tanks, but obscured by the paniers. The inboard half of the tanks is still mapped to the paniers.

Hi Everybody,

Resurrecting an old thread here, but I wonder if Mikrco's wonderful Bell 47 is still available for download somewhere. I have registered at FSNorthwest.net but there only appears to be 3 FSX aircraft available for download there.

Many thanks in advance.
