I heard about this.

And of all the places, in New York, land where this happens the most and people get hurt the worst.

Thank the Lord the person in the car didnt get killed.

I'll tell you Gary, I see this stuff every week as I try hard to avoid some of these people. I have had to lay down on the air horn more times than I can count because of somebody (cars AND trucks) drifting into my lane while they are texting a mile minute on their phone. It should be law for both cars and trucks that if you cause an accident, or break any other traffic laws while either texting, dailing, or talking on a cell phone without a headset or other hands-free device, that you be subject to the same punishment as a drunk driver.. I have been unfortunate enough to have to share the road with some drunks in my travels, but I can seriously say some of the drunks had more control of their vehicle than some of the people distracted in one way or another by a cell phone. I was almost killed by a so-distracted driver in a rental truck on Wednesday, and it's only because my vehicle weighed eighty thousand pounds that they did not succeed in pushing me off of the shoulder of the road and into the bordering woods. I am really sensitive when it comes to this issue. As it was, with current laws, even though this driver was clearly reckless, the most the investigating officer could do was to site them with unsafe movement. No matter they could have been killed, and taken me plus the people in four other vehicles with them. It gets crazier every week.....
