One hundred years ago, Louis Bleriot crossed the English Channel in his 25hp XI monoplane. The historic flight took 37min. Bleriot battled the weather that closed in and eventually made a rough landing after a gust of wind knocked him down from about 60'. All this less than six years after the Wright brothers 1903 powered flight. Amazing!

I did it in clear weather in 29min. (For sightseeing purposes). ;)

Note: Landed in a open field in Dover. Duenna shows it as EGMH.

Lookin' good there Moses,

Does look a little like you had a stiff neck that day or else that's the model without a floor in the cockpit....LOL

Either way what a view, eh??

You guys know the door's open to any and all of ya each month, right?

Maybe we should (all) do something for Lindberg next May.

I see you guys had a Bleriot event. Very nice! And rgr on the great view. These oldies have captured my imagination of late.

Thanks for the open door policy Salt. Great to see that there is always something going on within each community. (We need to get out more often) :engel016:
