This probably doesn't belong here in NewsHawks but I couldn't resist. :kilroy: A video tribute to the days when airliners were insanely loud; belched plenty of sooty black smoke; and carried lovely young stewardesses...who wore hats. Enjoy. :naturesm:

sexy!! thanks for posting.

Fast forward to 2009, sitting in a old-broken down chair in United's so called "business class"...asking the cranky, old and tired "stewardress" for a cup of water....and she just walks by pretending not to hear you....lol....

tho i gotta say Southwest Airline's crew are usually really funny and helpful...

VIntage jet liners and vintage hotties. Very nice video. Some of those gals had LEGS!!!!!! One gal looked a lot like Meg Ryan when Meg Ryan was insanely hot.

They're all Grandmothers now......

However, some of their daughters and granddaughters are now the pilots.

Oh yeah it belongs. I remember those days, and truthfully some of those uniforms/costumes actually looked nice. Sadly a few years back I knew one that moonlighted where I worked, back when they called themselves Sky Slaves. Wonder what they call themselves now, besides scarce. Thanks for the vid:mixedsmi:

Love those hats and gloves. Does that make me... kinky? :d
I don't remember stews wearing those go-go girl style uniforms but I definitely remember the orange and pink PSA (Poor Sailor's Airline) stew uniforms, as would any sailor stationed in San Diego back then. :) Cute girls, nice smiles, good service, even decent meals on most flights. You actually felt welcome on the plane - not like airlines nowadays. I've had better hospitality on a military C-130.

Goodness!!! I would have liked to have flown a flight on that plane...

I have often wondered about taking a flight somewhere just to fly on an airliner, say a round trip about 300 or so miles and just relax and enjoy the flight. Window seat of course, lol.. And fair weather.

Did that once when my son was about 10 (1995 ish) for his first flight. We flew on a shuttle to London Heathrow, had Fish and Chips at Harry Ramsdens, then flew back to Manchester for tea:engel016:
$100 hamburger??? more like $500 fish and chips:bump:

Thanks for sharing. Watching the vid got me thinking about the LynxJet ads from a few years back. Politically incorect? Most definitely! But we can still dream. :icon_lol:
