Henry Surtees, the 18-year old son of 1964 Formula 1 champion John Surtees died in hospital after he was hit on the head by a tyre from another car during the second Formula 2 race at Brands Hatch this afternoon.

Most sad, as safe as they can make it does not make the sport safe. A driver knows the risks, but it is always most sad when they are that young.

As the age old saying goes, "Motor Racing Is Dangerous".
And looking at the news footage I'd say it was just another racing incident that had a fatal outcome.
