I know there have been many posts asking about the Huey over the last few years. I do not remember if there have been any definitive answers as to why we do not have an FSX UH-1 "Huey".
So I gotta ask...is anyone going to "FSX" this incredible, historical helicopter. If the answer is NO, how come...why not???

Dodosim is making one.

Aerosoft also had a Bell 205 Huey project running. Although they have been very silent about it lately :\

I wish a real good payware one would come out. I am suprised Alphasim hasnt tried one. I like the choppers they make. I find they are worth the money.

Alphasim did have one on the drawing boards. IIRC, that model got axed along with a few others:kilroy:

I certainly wouldn't want to be competing in a market against Dodosim and Aerosoft, that is for sure.

Nemeth does a pretty fair job with helo's also! The dodo sim slick looks awesome!! Can't wait for that one!

hope dodosim make optional realism settings on the UH1
but it dont seem so it looks more like another highly realistic addon where you nearly need a real pilot certificate

The last shots I saw from this project are the slick version
but you can go on the dodosim webpage since there should be some preview pictures that maybe tell more about that !

The Dodosim 206 does, through setting the heater control in 1 of 5 positions adding more realism as it goes. I can't recommend the full realism enough though, the precision and response you get makes it so much easier to fly than any other FSX helo, simply because it behaves and reacts properly.

Have you tried huey_wf.zip (http://www.flightsim.com/kdl.php?fid=117686) from flightsim.com ?

I fly that while waiting those payware ones

This model looks very familiar. The Abacus Huey:isadizzy:

The Abacus one is up again. They had it up numerous times and it was taken down.

Good news about the Dodosim Huey. I've been using the Abacus...but it's not a true FSX, a port with a few mods.

The Dodosim Huey will not be cheap, but some things are worth more than money. I hate the Bell 206 as a type, but flying the Dodosim one is as real as I have ever found on a sim (and I have RL rotary wing stick time) and to have a heavier aircraft like the Huey will be a dream!

Please save your time dont download the above helicopter
1) it is pirated payware
2) it is ported FS9 Model with issues in FSX

have informed Euroastar350 to remove the link from post

I have to wonder whether or not the logo in the bottom of MCDesign's signature has anything to do with this ... :jump:
