The glazing reflections will be really important to get right on this one.

Mmmm, but I'm sure it will be fixed for the final release. Or shortly afterwards anyway. I'm going to duct-tape my mouth shut and check back when it's finished.

Yes, I thought the same...but after looking at a few pictures I think it's the track width which is not correct. The track width of the Storch is much smaller in the air than on the ground...just take a look at this picture (http://www.richard-seaman.com/Wallpaper/Aircraft/NonCombatants/Liaison/FieselerStorch4oClock.jpg) (notice the angle of the tires).

And last but not least, it's called Fieseler Storch and not Fiesler Storch :wavey:

Greetings

I think what Tim is saying and I may be wrong, in Tims picture "in flight" the wheels are toed in and gear is closer together (no weight) but and on landing wheels are not toed and gear widens out (weight)

I think:isadizzy:

I'm gettin one fur sure it looking very very Nice

Will there be a Tail wheel Version?

It looks like the gear is modelled in a permanent landed position, you can see in this video quite a range of travel between in air and on ground as the gear spreads outwards upon landing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VDcB0pSUYOI

In flight video here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZsxarKWlcvk

icarus - it looks as though the models landing gear IS modeled as if on the ground and landed - and that is exactly the opposite of what ACES did when they modeled the FSX default Hornet jet...they used photos of that jet on its jackstands, so the gear was free and clear of the ground so it could be cycled through retraction and extension for maintenance. The modeler just (apparently) never looked at pics of the jet on the ground without the jacks in place.

So your people are in good company - but if you examine photos of the Storch in flight - the gear is closer coupled and the struts are extended, not compressed, and therefore about a foot or so longer than they are on the ground. The Storch, in addition to being a STOL aircraft was also well suited to rough field conditions by necessity - so it had a long suspension stroke....as does the Hornet although for different reasons...

indeed, the Storch had a lot of travel in its landing gear (well over a foot I believe), especially to overcome rough landings. So it looks right if it were standing on the ground, but not in flight...well, according to me anyway.
here's a nice movie to show what I mean, look at the take off and landing, and note how much travel there is in the landing gear:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VDcB0pSUYOI
It sort of droops down when in flight, and shortens and widens when on the ground. It was called Storch with a good reason, those long legs!
edit: found this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fieseler_Fi_156, where it says 45 cm of travel in the landing gear, or 18 inches!

Say Icarus, are you planning to release this with a paintkit?

Simply, maybe the modeller has not animated the undercarriage yet ? Looks nice. If you guys will make all the autoslats and flap system correctly, she will be a winner.

So far the prop cone looks wird and it,s something that i can,t put my finger on that bugs me with the modeling.Piglet,s version resembles more the Fiesler Stork in my opinion.I wish he makes a FSX version based on the Fs9 one. Looking forward to see this model completed though, maybe my opinion will change.

It,s an slightly edited shot..I dont have Fs9 anymore and this was my only saved shot of Piglet Fiesler but it does show the modeling aspect I was trying to make.

yes infact my screenshots are for user as roger and other sim-outhouse customers(many).....others can continue with the game where gajit seem the unique player because on future he will see only the screenshots and not the products. He has tried the same with the dragon but unfortunately it sell a lot and generally people like a lot...so seems he continues to denigrate each product i start..perhaps because i month ago he asked me to try models before release and i say no?

I know models will sell the same but its is just booring continue with this attitude ...or not?

The rivets look great

i lost my sense of humour with you.

obviously in five minutes and 32 second there will be the reply(that usually i don't read). obviously polemic help sales (around 30% buy a model because see a polemic and want to see if its true) but is wasn't my intent with this post...i didn't start the thread. i m posting only for some people here that like our models or ask in a normal manner..

Perhaps I am missing something, but all criticisms here have been constructive. People are giving you advice to improve your model before its release. People WANT your aircraft to be of quality and to be successful.

By posting previews or beta shots, you are opening yourself to criticisms. We all hope that things can stay constructive and helpful to the developer. In this case, a few of the users have posted comparison shots and have offered their honest opinions and observations.

In this case, you listened to their concerns and made the aircraft better. These same people are offering their opinions and constructive criticisms on the Duck. They want it to be the best release it could be.
