I'm only 18, but I remember when my uncle bought us some Sizzlers. He was a NASCAR fan so all the cars we got were stock-cars. I remember the "Juice Machine" (although this version was purchased in the 90's so it was neon-colored)

For me it was these 2 items.

Holy Cow!

I had the TV Jet. If I remember right when you pushed the throttle it made the backlit "terrain" map turn to make it look like you were flying over something. The T-33 moved back and forth with the control wheel.
I also seem to remember that the top hood ornament thing had two spring loaded missles that you sighted through the scope with the crosshairs above the moving image.

Thanks Panther! I had completely forgot about having that one as a kid.

Update:
I found one. :)

I had the Hot Wheels race set. Inside of the little building was a set of rapidly spinning rubber wheels (one on each side of the track) which would send your Hot Wheels car down the track rather quickly. Ahh memories. :naturesm:

The Steve Canyon helmet became my sled helmet and the name "Ringo Cat" affixed to the front. Christ man, I was the 11-YO champion! :jump::icon_lol:

Mattel re-issued the Sizzlers set a few years ago. I picked it up for my son at target. I remember playing with them when I was a kid and had hours of fun. He thought they were great too but the fun only lasted a few hours. :pop4: It seems the only thing that keeps him interested are Legos. At least he plays with Legos I saved from my youth.

All we could afford was those balsa wood and rubber band planes. Used to beat the heck out of your fingers. Might last ya 2 or 3 days if you were lucky. Wonder if they still make them?

I've still got parts of that Hot Wheels track somewhere. Also had another small set with a loop in it. They were like a train set...just put the track together in however you wanted to lay it out. We used to quite a bit of straight line drag racing with the power house. Oddly enough, the fastest cars down the track weren't Hot Wheels. The Matchbox and Yatmings were usually faster. :)
