I've always had an attachment to the old black and white photos shown in newspapers throughout the 30's into 60's. They captured the moment what transpired locally or nationally. Of course there's still photos (mostly color) in today's papers. However,...the gritty and dramatic charm really comes forth in these archive photos. Hope you enjoy them like I have.

Yeppers...color really takes the impact and detail out of photographs. I have been a huge fan of black and white photography since I was a wee lad and saw my first Ansel Adams print of the Grand Canyon.

Ah yes...
I remember reading the "old" black n' white papers.....And the Sunday treat was a color photo on the front page :mixedsmi:

Always loved those glossy big B&W photos, like one would find in an attic, or achieves. Really sharp resolution and detail. You can see fabric textures, surfaces, etc.
