Has anyone done new air files for Colin Muir's series of Beaufighters? They are nice planes, inspite of their age, and some new air files would go a long way toward making them even better.

Hi Obio,
The best airfiles for the Beaufighter I know of are in the 1% beaufighter.
You can find it here,

I agree JD. Will's airfiles for the Beaufighter really add to the experience. Take offs can make your palms sweat!

Thanks for the links guys. I have Will's updated air and config files in place. So much nicer and take offs are a real blast! I don't mind if a plane has tires that don't turn, or a canopy that doesn't open...as I fly with the wheels up and the canopy shut. But I find it really bothersome when a plane does not have a full engine start sequence. I like to hear Lawdog's sound files in all their glory.

I tried the Will Hunter airfiles and the AI won't attack with bombs in anti ship missions.

I have a good one for AI's but it's a bit light feeling for the player. I haven't been able to find the right ballance for both despite trying TR's double MOI's trick.

Are you talking about a separate Folder for the AI or the Multiple A/C in one folder trick? If the later, MB doesn't like that and it causes problems in DCG campaigns. I tried using the Alpha Sim B-25D/J package which is set up that same way and it crashed the missions at startup.

If you're talking about putting it in a separate folder that's no problem unless you try to fly a DCG Campaign with the Beaufighter. You can only have one A/C per formation.

I'm probably going to have to get someone involved that know a whole lot more about Airfiles than I do.

I will defiantly be uploading it as part of a Revised/Expanded BoBS Campaign and two back to back 6 month long PNG DCG Campaigns.
If you want to play with the parts and pieces I've put together, A/C.cfg, Airfile and DP just PM me with your e-mail addy.
