Where's the Frankenstein model?? There was one in my grandmas house for decades when I was a young lad. I think one of my uncles built it when he still lived at home.

The good news is that Revell/Monogram has JUST re-released some of the "Universal" monster kits using the old Aurora molds. So far they've released "Frankenstine", "The Wolfman", "Dracula" and "The Mummy". Hopefully "The Creature from the Black Lagoon" is on its way. Look for these kits at your favorite hobby store!

I remember seeing them on the shelves as a young kid ... but these kinds of models just didn't do a thing for me.

I was into something more like this:

Yeah I am old enough to remember them at the 5 and 10 stores. By that time I was already into ships and planes.

I had the V8 also! lol... and the Wankle, and the auto Turbine... and the smaller Jet turbine engine as well.

And the models from all SciFi movies...!

But horror movies didnt really do it for me.

I actually have that model sitting on a shelf right now.
I was going to try and sell it on Ebay. But, upon looking it over, it looks as though someone (maybe me) tried to start putting it together back in the 70's. Because there is some glue residue on some of the pieces. Yet their not glued together! Never claimed to be much of a builder! Other than that, it's still in good shape. Don't think it's worth the "big bucks" anymore though.

Christ Panther, I think I built every one of them. Had the Hunchback of Notre Dame too. You taking me back to some hallowed years friend!
