I know I've posted some of these before in the Newshawks forum, but I thought I would make another post in because in here threads do not move down three pages in two days. ;) There will be some new shots in here as well!
Of course the main reason to go to the airforce show this year was the appearance of the Avro Vulcan XH558. Some shots of that aircraft at the end of this tread.

This is probably the newest 'classic' I will post in here, the Royal Navy's HP.137 Jetstream T.2 (Because Handley-Page celebrates its 100th birthday I thought it would be appropriate to post it!) :

I've posted this one before, but I like the camo with dayglow orange colourscheme:

Fouga Magister; for about 1,500GBP you can fly it yourself! (If you have or ever had a license to fly):

Taylor Auster Mk.III:

A replica of a Wright Flyer III that did actually fly on Friday and Saturday morning, but in this photo it just rolls along the taxiway. Note the serious crash helmet and face of the pilot!

A Beech D-17 Staggerwing:

This Hunter T.7 was first shown and flown two years ago, also at Volkel (And suffered a birdstrike during its display routine last year!) :

But this Mk.6 is a new addition to the flying classics we maintain here:

The oldest aircraft flying was none less than the DC-2 Uiver:

On Friday evening the aircrews and pilots of all the aicraft had a drink, and the idea was born there to do something special on Saturday. They decided to fly the Vulcan in formation with the Hunter Mk.6 and the freshly repainted Dutch air force solo display F-16AM, creating a true once in a lifetime formation!:

The Vulcan will also appear at the Belgian Sanicole airshow in September, and if the Vulcan can be there, I'll be heading that way too!
