Following the Vanguard thread, which do you think were the best looking warships of each type? Not the most brutally powerful, but the most stylish?
For starters I'd offer the Iowa class of battleship, the Scharnhorst as a battlecruiser and pretty well any classic single funnel British destroyer from the 'J' class up to the Battles. For frigates, maybe the Amazon class. As for cruisers, I'm less sure - a British 'Town', perhaps, such as Glasgow or Sheffield, or maybe something Italian, such as a Condottieri?

Oh and the Tennessee class BB's (Tennessee, California) prewar (mid 30's - Dec 41). Love those clipper bows and basket masts.
