we should be releasing some shots of her with some textures on over the next few days

In total we will be releasing her with 6 liveries : 2 US, 2 NZL and 2 French.

The canopy 3 animation will open the rear gun bay doors and bring the twin cal to the surface and the rear gunner should swivel and look like hes ready to do some business :-)

Thanks for the kind words, shes coming along better than expected now, I'll keep you updated.

Too bad you can't dive bomb ships in the harbour. Oh well, just dreaming. The SBD Dauntless has always been one of my favourite aircraft to build models of and now that is coming out to FSX well that just tops everything.

Deano:

Glad to hear from you! We did a SBD back in the FS9 days and it was really a fun project and good flier. At that time there were the great Coral Sea and Midway scenery packages to play with. Just hope someone makes some more progress on a long awaited Essex Straight deck. Bruce Fitzjeralds Big E at least give a good place to takeoff and land!

Best wishes: Tom

The close's ive seen a real one is the mangled wreckage a RNZAF or whats left , at the Wigram Air Force World Museum , crashed on a routine training flight , appeared the crew survived the crash but perrished in the jungles in the solomons . The most famous or well known being Howa' Bath That 'Hic flown by T J Mclean de Lange , who on his return become a base commander of Wigram Base in the late 1950s .. now how bout that 'HIC':icon29::icon29::icon29:

Hi Bob, the SBD is being developed in house so the envelope will be pushed further than before.

And who will be the first to join the "400" club?..That when SBD pilots would take it up to as high as it will climb and dive down at 400mph..or so I was told by some old SBD drivers

Well from those shots I'd say the textures look amazing, some of the best I've seen. Looks extremely natural and realistic, bordering on photorealistic. Great weathering and detail.

we're currently looking for 2 additional Beta team players if anyone would like to take on the roll.

I'd prefer people that have had some experience with other WWII single engine props and have a good eye for flying to the numbers (pilots manual)

Friendly atmosphere, free beer and (fill this space)

For those that are interested can you please email me directly to dean@realflight.co.uk
