i extracted aicarriers becasue for some reason it unistalled itself from fsx so i tried running it again and i get about halfway through the instilation process and i get this error message

Microsoft visual c++ runtime library

runtime error!
program:
...\appdata\local\temp\temp2_aircarriers2r2.zip\se tup.exe

This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the applications support team for more information.

does anyone know what is wrong and how i can fix it i really want to play with xaviers new nimitz but i cant!

It seems like it was not totally uninstalled from your system...Maybe...

Try to uninstall again..Then manually delete all files to it and start over...

i tried unistalling it but i got this yay error messages

so after that i went into teh program files and manuly deleted aicarriers and then went to my temp folder and deleted ~nsu and all other aicarriers folders in the temp folder ok is that it or do i need to go into regedit?

I'm having troubles also... it's now my second day of trying reinstall FSX. Setup goes all the way to the end and then stops giving erro message.

I'm now experimenting with the tool I found from Microsoft site, it might be worth the try for you also http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928080

You can go into your regestry and look for anything that has to do with that add on..If found delete it..


I would back up the regestry first though just to be safe and save yourself from a windows repair or reinstall....



Try windows updates..maybe your C++ runtime needs an update...

Do you also have all the Net Frameworks?
