Very nice, and ofcourse the pilots need a nice tropical uniform.
Should that not be KNILM? I can send you the logo if you want.
I will download when available!

No, KLM is correct (see image), it's actually KLM-IIB (for Inter Insulair Bedrijf).
They had a slightly different nose, and no blisters, but this is a close as I could get it. The blue is my interpretation, I only had b/w pictures, but I think it looks rather nice this way.

Yes, those uniforms:

Looks great Jan Kees! :applause:

Don't forget the cheatline between the white and the blue which appears to have the same colour as the KLM logo on the nose.

aaargh, don't do that, Ferry!!! I thought I'd finished!
I never saw that stupid line..
...and I made the logo black, so that is probably wrong too!!
So what now?
A lighter blue line/logo?

My guess, from the photo, would be a royal blue or similar to the KLM colour now?

Looks very nice as it is, though. Nice repaint! :ernae:

that looks great! Jankees should get a special title or something such as Van Gogh, Rembrant, or Picasso. :ernae:

Oops, sorry.. This might not be a good time to mention the missing anti-glare panel on the nose I guess..? ;)

Looking at your photo I think the bottom and engine colour might even be black (Compared to the pants the gentleman on the right is wearing) or very dark blue and the cheatline and logo might be blue.

Had a look but no colour shots in my archive..

..and he does it again!
Serves me right for posting that pic.:banghead:
No worries, I'll paint that line and panel, I found a color pic of the logo, I'll use that color for the line and logo, and I'll leave the bottom blue like it is...
A bit more patience, gentlemen!

OK, here's progress so far, now with cheat line and blue logo.
I thought I'd better show it here first, before I get lots of corrections from Ferry afterwards...color OK?

..and here's the antiglare panel!
While I was at it, I also changed the shape of the blue on the nose, to better correspond to the pic. Please bear in mind that the model has a nose with a different shape from that of the real thing...
Ready for upload me thinks....

Well Jankees, this is the final straw. I can not look at these paints of yours anymore, now I have to go and buy the "cat". I was holding out really well, but this new all white cat just did me in, I have to have it. Great job!:ernae:

Oh boy, I'm so sorry about that....but you won't be, it's a great model! I'll try and upload the KLM paint as quick as I can, but if it is white you're after, maybe this one will keep you afloat until I do: http://aussiex.org/forum/index.php?autocom=downloads&showfile=553

Looking good, one can never have too many Catalinas!

By the way, you know there is a model without blisters and guns? I donīt know if the window configuration would be correct, itīs an Australian Black Cat with Shell logos I think... Just as an idea...

I know, that's what I tried earlier, but it has small porthole style windows, and it's a PBY-6A, with the big tail. It just didn't look right to me. Why KLM took those blisters off, I'll never know, the best view I ever had in an aircraft was from the blisters of a Catalina...
