If you love old sports cars and sport car racing (who doesn't?) then you will enjoy the GT Lgends racing sim by 10T.

It features FiA-GTC-TC with all the mid '60-mid '70s popular racing sports cars and popular race courses.

The graphics are fantastic and my old machine (P4 3.02, 1.5Gb ram, 256Mb video) handles it with several cars on the track in multiplayer. Best sound effects I've heard.

Can't go wrong for US$20 at Best Buy. It was worth that for the first day usage.

It hasn't replace GP Legends yet for our Monday night racing...but it surely may.

Ken

You are hooked too then?

I got the came 2 weeks ago and I haven't loaded FS9 since.

I'm clearly far more of a danger on the (virtual) roads than in the sky and I'm loving every minute of it.

I'm finding it hard work in semi-pro level working my way through the challenges as some of those cars reallly aern't a good match for my lack of driving style but that is the challenge of it. Learning to drive the different cars.

I'm sure I'll be back t oFS soon but in the mean time I am lost to the race track.

Haven't played it for a while, but it is a pretty good sim !

Too bad the 'Starforce' copy protection was conflicting with other games, otherwise I would have used it a lot more.

The cars, graphics and sounds are all very good, and it is a joy to drive.

Phew, finally made some progress with the game !

The Lotus Cortina was getting a bit boring. I made a small step back in difficulty, and did a lot of racing over the weekend. Now I'm finally able to get my hands on better cars like the Mustang and especially the Alfa GTA.

Did a race yesterday with the GTA on the short Hockenheim track, and for the first time I felt totally in control !

P.s. Any of you tried the game online ?

So, what's your favorite car in the game so far Ferror? (I return, finally!)

Managed to tear myself away from the game for long enough to remember my friends at SOH.

Glad to hear you are making progress.

It took a lot of playing with the settings but I finally got to like the Cortina. In the right hands it should be quicker than the Alfa.

Fortunately driving the mini came naturally to me being a small, fwd and lower powered like nearly every car I have driven so I was able ot use it to get enough money to buy the Alfa early on.

The Alfa is much safer for those of us with less experience as it is much more stable and I am able to be competetive at Semi-Pro level without driving it at 110% so I am much more likely to keep it on the hard stuff.

First time up in the Pony at Nurburgring I tought I loved the car, qualifying mid grid and taking an easy win.
All that was shattered at Zolder and I could barely keep it going for the 8 laps. The tyres were shot on the last lap and was slidding everywhere. And that was just trying to keep out of last place.

I like cars you can throw in hard to corners, definitely NOT big American oil tankers.

I'm back in the Alfa for the last series in challenge 2 now but I may switch to the mini if the Alfa doesn't work out.

I haven't tried multiplayer yet. I was hoping to atleast complete this challenge first and then find some GT '65 races on line.

I have been follwing the times in the alfa cup over on the RSc forums http://forum.rscnet.org/forumdisplay.php?f=916

I have a little way to got to get in the pack there. I don't want to go getting myself a bad name as a wrecker online.

Perhaps we should get on mp one night for an SOH race night?

Not too fond of the Cortina because it understeers a lot, and the engine has a very narrow powerband; the Alfa is much more neutral, and spreads it's power better. It's easier to 'play' with, easier to create under- or oversteer when you need it.

Am also using the clutch a lot more now; makes it a lot easier to downshift when you need to brake hard. The car stays more stable.

Me too. The demo has the Corvette, the E-type and the Lotus Elan, the last being my favourite by far ! Love the sound of a big V-8, but straight line speed isn't everything. :d

Sounds like a good idea to practice a bit together before we try any online racing with the pro's. :costumes:

Sentimental favorite car is the Porsche 914-6. I had one back in the '70s and learned to race it reasonably well. Must admit that Lotus makes the best small bore racing car chassis.

Just added Road Atlanta and Watkins Glen tracks and am enjoying them.

Racing online is much more fun than solo or IA. We race IP and use our own TS2 service. (Some things said on TS2 while racing is funny.)Good system. There are six of us ranging in age from 35 to 82. Good crew.

Found the demo Saturday night, was unable to prevent myself from buying the full game Sunday evening. Still tearing up the demo while waiting for the full version to arrive from Amazon and looking at steering wheels.

Ya know, this all started when I played Forza Motorsport on a demo XBox at Best Buy Saturday and wondered if there were any decent racing sims available for the PC (since I don't own a console and never have). Initially, I just wanted one I could play reasonably well with my stick without having to buy a wheel.

Now I absolutely must have a wheel.

I don't know whether to laugh at myself or weep.

I've always had this obsessive personality that can latch on to something overnight...
