:jump: Anyone else plan on getting this:

This could be the latest greatest true flight simulator to date. Since they are simulating such a narrow field of flight (wwi kites) I would expect it to very well replicated. Last I saw the recommended hardware to run the game was pretty steep. I hope this is a sign it uses lots of physics to replicate flight. There are lots of videos on Youtube for those that haven't heard of it. :wiggle:

FSX is showing its age, too bad there is no FS11.

I didn't pre-order it because I figured it wouldn't be a sell out item. I just hope stores near me get it. The flight dynamics look incredible. Here is a youtube I found of a flight in a stiff wind.

The only reason I preordered it from fspilotshop is that here in Australia I did the 'ring-around' and noone had even heard it, so I called them, asked if it could ship to Aussie and if I could play it down here with the online capabilities etc and that was not a problem so they got my business, even if the game is a 'dud' it will make for a nice collectors item ;)

Pre-ordered too... I launched the idea of having a "Rise of Flight" forum here at SOH but had no success, i know it's a bit early to talk about that, but that idea might rise again later.:engel016:

It will be interesting to see if this equals the quality of other WWI flight sims available.

I would love to try it, the minimum system reqs kill me though. Will wait and see how it performs for others, but keeping fingers crossed--it looks pretty good.

Just checking out the screenshots on their website. It could just be wishful thinking on my behalf but it looks like the clouds are casting shadows on the ground (which is something I've always wished MSFS could do).

The development screenshots and videos have looked excellent for the last 2 years, goodness knows how well it will play though so I'm holding back.
