Yeh,got all excited the other day and installed it only to find the vc panel had a big gap in it,so you could see the ground while looking at the gauges,so I uninstalled it.Darn shame it looked nice.

It may well be a repackaged NorCal Prop Club port over of the FS9 Bearcat.

Kinda odd, during my test it looked fine inside and out other than the usual prop/cloud issues. It flew well and the frame rate was on target.

No wonder it,s at simviation..Again and again they repackage my "98" texture without permission or credit..NorCal it,s notorious on doing that.No valid e-mail in the read me file either cause simviation tolerates everything.

I quit visiting this site long ago for this crap. I'm sure it makes some people happy but when I see planes ported to FSX from FS9 when there is some that already have full FSX counterparts. There really needs to be a "port" section, that way everyone is happy.

I really wonder how many developers get emails about their FS9 (or older) work not acting/working correctly in FSX because their work was "repackaged" from the usual few that keep doing this? While I am sure some users are thankful for these conversions, these guys should be shot if not getting permission, adhering to developers wishes or uploading against them. :stop:

Says a lot to me also when certain sites allow this to happen and continue.

The problem with these "bootleg" conversions is that often they do have problems with the flight model and with graphics. I'd like to see FSX native Tigercats and Bearcats as well as a T-28 Trojan.

An FSX Bearcat would be a great addition.

If I remember right, RealFlight had an FSX F8F in the works. It would be great to see a Bearcat with the same quality as their F6F! One can only hope... :jump:

as would an FSX T-28 Trojan...

Alphasim re-released their T-28 as FSX this last week. Full FSX, I believe, not just a portover.

We are indeed working on a F8F Bearcat 1 and 2, we're at about 60% completed on the External model :wavey:

Soon as our SBD's pit is completed all man power will then be directed to the Bearcat :jump:

I bought the AS T-28 for FSX, it's a port over with the addition of bump mapping on the airframe, but it is not a new build FSX aircraft. I was sorely disappointed with the cockpit. Look up the thread titled "Trojan Alert" here at SOH.
