Great all around, Jeff. Hat's off to you all running AccuSim.

Every time that I look at your Avatar, I'm thinking that Howard Hughes must be grinding his teeth. All this world-wide excitement, and TWA is sitting on their hands.

Pilot Error :blind:, I used the distance to the first ndb waypoint (243) in the course director instead of the correct heading of 95. I had flown almost an hour before realizing the mistake. I changed course and tried to figure out if I could reach TJIG but realized that I did not have near enough fuel. I revised course and headed back to Jamaica.

Pretty costly navigational error:banghead:. The passengers are safe but the boss is very angry :angryfir:. I may have to stay in Buenos Aires when the Evita event is over.

Ah, taking your passengers on the classic "Ernest Hemingway" circuit of the Caribbean. "A guided tour that reveals the secrets of deep sea fishing that can be appreciated only from far above. Then a safe speedy return to Kingston."

Always looking for fresh and innovative business opportunities, Mr. Trippe. No problem.

Encountered 50+ knot crosswinds at FL180, went down to 12500 to get out of them. Slow slog down to Porto Alegre. Overall condition of all engines is good but the mechanics notes state that engines 2 & 3 are showing signs of wear damage. I noted that I could only achieve 50" of MP wet on takeoff. Used to get 60" wet. Only one leg left to go.

Great Ozzie
June 24th, 2009, 23:06
Sorry to hear that about the engines Jeff... yes good thing just one more leg for you. Anything you know specifically or? I'll get a mention of a turbo bearing starting to get hot or maybe a high CHT, but I'll back off right away. I try to nip that warning in the bud anyway as familiar is breeding respect (in this case).

I took only two pics at Easter Island; even tho taking a pic has never resulted in a lockup for me, I try not to temp fate. So I go back later to take a couple "fake" ones... and as I am about to take off, I start thinking... "why in the world do I want to take off and risk damaging the engines for a couple of faky pictures???" :isadizzy:

T'would be nice if each B-377 has it's own maintenance record (one record for each livery.)
