Hi, I'm getting back into GMax after a couple of years away from it and I'm amazed how much I've forgotten about it, I'm learning it all over again.

Anyway, I want to change an edge from

!--/!
! /. !
!/ ..!
----

to

!\--!
! \. !
!. \ !
----

I checked the GMAX tutorial and the face mask sub section in Making a Character, says to select the TURN button while in the edge Modify with the part as an editable mesh and then select the edge to turn.

Well I have my model as an editable mesh, I select the part, go into Modify panel and choose the edge option, I select TURN but at this point I cannot select the edge I want to turn, if I deselect TURN I can select the edge.

I'm missing something somewhere, any help would be gratefully received.

Thanks

Allan

That's expected behaviour. :wiggle:
As you hit the "turn" button each single click on an edge will do just that, turn the edge. No need to select an edge before turning.

That's just it Mathias, I haven't selected the edge before clicking the TURN button, but it won't let me select an edge once the button is highlighted.

With the button OFF, I can select an edge, but not while it's on.

Doing it the wrong way, i.e. selecting an edge and then choosing TURN, causes the axis gizmo to loose it three colours, but does nothing else.

Well I solved it, simple really and just goes to show there's a lot to remember :banghead:

Turn off snap to grid points :isadizzy:
