Well now that I have the alpha thing somewhat under control I was able to get the first part of what I've done in game and looking ok. There is still alot of work to do in it for sure. I can certainly see now why most leave this stuff to the pro's. Tell me what you all think and if I'm doing anything wrong so far. I do see the metal looking strip on the prop, I just have to figure out where it's at. :kilroy:

Yeah, I'm back and forth checking stuff all the time, gets really time consuming, trying to line stuff up or find where certain parts are, depending on the paint kit. Looking good though, it's a lot trial and error, welcome to the painting world. :ernae:

Headwind, looking at your screenie is the front of the spinner a metalic finish you have put on ? between that and the red part there seems to be a narrow shiny strip is this the bit you are talking about ? it could be the prop model is not transparent enough and the prop model needs fixing, a lot of Mr Ito's models suffer from this in FSX but perfectly ok in Fs 9

Great news, and looking very good so far. This was one of my very favourite paints for the old FS9 P-51 (by Baron von Blatwurst) and a new hi-res version would be very welcome.

Yes I found where that little strip was and is no longer there. I had misses a tiny little black strip that was causing it. That was as bad a seeing someone going down the highway with a crooked bumper sticker or something. Just sticks in your head a bugs ya. lol

A little update now that I have gotten past the checkers on the wings. Boy that wasn't the easiest thing to line up. :isadizzy: Just need to do the small "kills" flags and the lettering and hopefull still have it in one piece.

Ok just one more side of letters and I think she'll be good to go. I now remember why I don't usually do this stuff. I'm so darn picky about little things that I fought with that Z for about an hour and a half trying to line it up.
