Even a kid who was 18 years of age at the time of the landings would be 83-84. They won't be with us much longer. I think the old Viking proverb says it best:

"Cattle die
kinsmen die
all men are mortal.
Words of praise
will never perish
nor a noble name."

To all those men who fought on both sides.... sent to die becuase of the evil in men. I salute all men in uniform on that day.:medals:

To our American military lost on this day... I will get there one day to plant a flag... for now I only have this. :USA-flag:

My Dad was in the first wave on juno beach brit there was alot of confusion on that day as its was not like they say in book's everyone from both us and uk found them selves mixed up no real brit only beach or us just guy's fighting for freedom and peace :engel016:

The D-Day Memorial at Bedford is in my back yard. It has fallen on hard times from lack of donations. That is such a shame. My wife and I contribute $50.00 every year.

God bless those men, there will be some, but there will never be as many like them. :medals::medals:
