I was wondering if there were any type of Scenery packs like Raw Grit:
PNG Bushpilot (Base pack) like this one but for WW2. I'm interested in all places so to speak but more so in the south pacific islands.
With things such as jeeps, hangers, and all that good stuff around.

Quick and simple answer? No.

Right now, the closest you'll get is my fictional "Camp Banjo" on Guadalcanal, which uses entirely default objects.

To be fair, the default objects are very good and there is a WW2 USAAF fuel truck in there (which you'll find a few of around Banjo) but I've never found any non-default vehicles that are FSX native. There are Jeep scenery models available, but they're for FS2002/FS2004, not X. If there were FSX Jeeps available, I'd be scattering 'em everywhere. ;)

Put simply, there aren't many people making historical sceneries anywhere in the world and, of those that are, most of us aren't modellers, just tinkerers. I'm hoping that a recent discussion with a very well respected member of the community here results in his finding time to make me an RAF truck for my sceneries, but I'll openly admit that I'm useless at modelling, so while people will happily make the airfields, we're entirely reliant on those who very kindly make their models available for the rest of us to use for objects.

well thank you for the answers Ian. Hopefully one of the greats will make a package of them someday. I for one would take on the wife for 12 rounds in order to buy it. lol :kilroy:

1. Vol. 2 of MoCat's MovieMaker's Studio scenery has a WW2 landing beach set north of Kaneohe (freeware).

2. Lionheart's Operation Valkyrie package has several Luftwaffe airbases, in addition to the planes. See my review here: http://www.avsim.com/pages/1107/OpValkyrie/OpValkyrie.htm. Unfortunately, the FSX version has been withdrawn from further sales; some of the scenery didn't work right. Lionheart, if you're reading this, I still enjoy what you made and hope that you find time sometime to bring it back (though I know you have other projects and calls on your energy).

None of those are really what the OP was asking for, unfortunately... The MoCat one and Bill's Op Valkyrie scenery are probably the closest and I'll very happily join the cause to ask for Op. Valkyrie to be brought up to FSX when other projects allow - I am in dire need to Luftwaffe scenery to fly FW190s, Bf109s and suchlike from and would love the aircraft in my hangar too.

However, as two of the threads posted are mine and at least part of the third, can I post a fourth, which is at least in the Pacific? ;)

Thank you for the great links! Ian, I would like to use your airfields if you don't mind however I have a question. In one of them you say you need additional files. Is there another place to get those. I can't seem to get into the file library as the page never loads for me.

Another question I have is about the valkyrie addon. It says fsx and dx10 or vista is not supported on the site, what are the reasons for that? Is it the dx10 thing where the plane is grey? Heck I don't use dx10 anyway since I get the flickering runways and all of that junk.

Second bit first: the problem with Op Valkyrie is, I believe (I don't have it, unfortunately) that it is entirely an FS9 package with the attendant vanishing textures and transparency issues in FSX SP2 or Accel. Those problems are multiplied when using DX10 and new ones regarding ground textures are introduced as well. There are also some issues when using FS9 flattens and excludes for autogen (they don't work and need to be replaced).

Vista, I'm not sure - Bill (Lionheart) will need to answer that.

Having read the readme files in all the libraries, apparently I'm allowed to do this, so the files from Ted Andrews that you might need for my stuff are behind the links below. I suggest you get and install them all, because then you only need to do it once! All of my readme files for sceneries that need them give a suggested installation method.

There's always RAF Gutershoh, although you have to squint very hard to imagine that the Tab-Vee's are not there. The rest (save the control tower cab) is as German as it gets. I believe it's still available at Flightsim dot com.

Well, for anyone interested, I've finally got around to updating my site and there are a few things on there now that weren't before.

I've not put the two latest ones up, because one's waiting for a model to be released and the other is waiting for me to learn how to model. The latter could be some time.

If you are, however, interested, the site is at http://www.ianpsdarkcorner.co.uk
