Always thought that was the neatest thing. All that went into doing it.
Every week or so, the "laundy" and "cars" would be moved around.

I grew up just down the street from the Lockheed terminal and plant. My mother was a drafter under some of that covering. Worked on P-38's B-17's Vega Ventura's etc.

i once saw pics of the roof at boeing's plant in philly. it was camo'd in a similar way.
