Hi All,
Keeping the wagon rolling. I found this one while searching for some other P-39 schemes. Its a P-39J , 41-7073, flown by Lt. Leslie Spoonts of the 57th FS, 54th FG, Kodiak, Alaska, June-December 1942. It appears that the "J" was identical to the "D" except for some minor changes to the propeller and exhaust stacks, 12 each side instead of six.
Here's a shot of Spoonts aiorcraft. If there is any interest, I'll clean it up and upload it.
Thanks,
Bub
BTW: I posted this before the "big crash" hope I'm not responsible.
