:kilroy: Anyone see Any Updates other than the originals from Gennadich the Russian Firm on the developement of Knights of the Sky WW1 Sim? The write stated that we would see the WW1 Sim by Fall 2006. April will be their 5th month since the annoucement of Sim Develope. Haven`t seen squat other than original screenshots from way back when. Kinda lost interest there after OFF quirks and waiting for Knights to come out. :d

:kilroy: Thank you so much Sir. Changed ISP providers on DSL and the new Modem and/or Firewall prevents me from Hosting games. I can join and fly in other rooms in CFS1 and the scoring and so forth is normal. However it was another fustration to lose the Hosting ability. :redf: None-The-Less I`m looking forward to Knights Of The Sky. It was quiet for so long there I began to surmise KOS was going to fall by the wayside as sooo many other WW1 sims have. Really happy to see updates on Scenery and aircraft. Sopwith F-1 was impressive also. Using FS-9 right now and that`s quite nice but just not a WW1 CFS. A shortfall of not being software Literate leaves me at the mercy of of other " Gee Wizz " people. Anyway thank you for the update links. Picks me up a bit. :applause:

:mixedsmi: I see some Pre-Alpha shots on Gennadich KOS forum. :kilroy: What pray tell is a Pre-Alpha screenshot? I`ve been hoping from early this year for KOS to hit the market but alas not yet. The 64-65 Meg Demo 4 has been D/L and run and kinda exciting. Gennadich stated now working on Engine Sounds. The ground scenery seems quite well done. I gotta sickly feeling that KOS may be beyond the Mid part of 2007. Are there any Ideas of Release Time for KOS out there? I understand that Gennadich switched Engines for developement and not being software Literate have no idea of how long this will effect release time. I may have to root through the closets and dig up the CFS3 CD`s and the OFF CD`s that I had and reload OFF for a " Fix " :173go1: Pretty much been a whole year since flying online and gonna be like starting over again. If anyone has a inside on release time would be nice to have a general time frame. Thanks all. :running:

:applause: Never mind fellows I got lucky and found Gennadich Forum update info which stated that the Freeware WIKI engine is now in use allowing updates from anyone with Production access. The Forum stated that in December we will see some kinda Demo release ( Demo 4 ) 64 to 66 Meg which is on a link to Gennadich site forum. I have D/L this demo and ran it and this is gonna be a Rival to Red Baron 3D. :kilroy: Site info stated that Gennadich with their assisting other Company are working together on a complete new WW1 production release. :jump: There is supposed to be some kinda Info Release stating current production status and Release date I think it said. The Ground scenery and static plane images are super. The demo was very nice also. A blurb stated that Engine sounds are now being developed. Saw the Aircraft list and this Puppy got a full stable of cloth covered craft in it. :engel016: Hard to wait but little choice as gonna have to start over flying again. Been almost a year since smoking anyone. Hope this pans out well soon. :mixedsmi:

:wavey: Wow a whole year and 6 months from Feb 2006 Post  Gennadich had a message saying something to the order that ( We are going through a lot of changes here right now ) And to use the Forum to get updates :redf: Anyway read on some Chat Thread that Gennadich has contracted with a French Company to Introduce the KOTs... Former Gennadich posts said that Game to be realeased Fall 2007... Of course this was moved up from from Fall 2006... Anyway saw U Tube movies using a Tracker device and almost sea sick there... Really don`t expect anymore that KOTs will be out this year however if Anyone has Info or a contact with Gennadich 1C folks slip a little encouragement :applause: reply to help waiting folks for the game... Sure hope it`s Micro Vista compat as that`s what is on machine now... Very smooth and neat features and not going back to Xp... :censored: Any Info be appreciated Cheers :kilroy:

 OFFICIAL RESPONSE From Gennadich is that { We have alot of changes here and cause of that we need to take Break in our Updates for a bit. Ask your Questions on our forum } As Gennadich has switched the Software Engine to WIKI ( I think ) It`s a whole new Ball Game with ton`s of changes being made hot and heavy and the flying Community won`t know what`s going on unless someone has a inside link to the Developer or until Gennadich decides to begin the weekly updates again. :kilroy: As the delay`s up to this point have been long and fustrating :redf: I see no reason to think that the present delay will be any different... When a track record is established it`s kinda hard to break free...

May I suggest Over Flander Fields, it's a patch of CFS3, and it's a work in progress, but it's free. It was written for XP, but there are tricks, Most guys with Vista can run it
Heck I'm running an old AGP machine, pushed to the wall to run an ATI X1950, and it knocks my socks off. And I can't get close to the performance of a Newer Rig
The forum is Top Shelf all the way, with STICKYS for all the tricks, and most importantly, nobody gets flamed
Or you can continue HOLDING your BREATH

:d Yes Thank you for the suggestion. I have WW1 OFF copied to a CD and had it on the machine for a while... I used to fly a good amount on CFS1 in the WW1 field. Problem I ran across is that with WW1 OFF all but 1 or 2 of the old CFS1 crowd could handle WW1 OFF on their machines... A few other issues with the others and the software and their machines made me shy away from it. One was the Host Guns were much stronger than the others and this bothered a lot of folks... It`s been almost a 2 year wait now and I guess I can hang in there a while longer for KOTs.
I`m Heart Broken that the Master Microsoft snubbed any WW1 productions... They could have easliy produced a WW1 Add-On to CFS3 as they have all the codes and old scenery on tap... Quite sad... :redf:
