Sounds like a good deal.

However if you already have a pre SP3 copy of XP and you only want this to save on the hassle of updating next time you reinstall you can make your own copy for the price of a blank disk.

Heres a tutorial on how its done

This is perfectly legal to do as your still using your original CD key.

So true...... But this is mainly intended for those who perhaps want to buy a virgin copy to keep for later... I might buy some extras for my builds too..That way I can pass the savings on to customers later....

Same here, future issues for future rigs.

And you can also download SP3 to merge with your XP SP2 to make an ISO image that you can burn to disk as your private XP SP3. That's what I did for my wife's machine.

I snapped my Xp pro disk along with vista. Im going Windows 7 all the way since i have getting massive performance increase and coolness on my CPU Athlon chips. But If Windows 7 was failing then Id say this Windows Xp is a sweet and a steal of a deal. Excellent HU:applause:

I need to do that with the WinXP Media Center discs. With Mac's Bootcamp, you can only have one disc for the installation, so Media Center doesnt load up unless you can have both CD's on one image. arrghh..

Nlite is what I use to slipstream my installation disc, you can install XP's, hotfixes, and any drivers you want in a custom XP install, (vlite is the vista version)

You can set it up so it installs automatically without any user input (you know how long install can be hehe)

Very nifty tool - highly recommended

Yep!

:d

Note; You can send in for the PayPal ATM card. That will enable you to do Mastercard purchases with your PayPal account, for making purchases online when they do not have PayPal.

+1 This is the method that I use. It's very handy if you need the Sata/raid drivers installed without messing about with floppy drives.
