beat me to it. I just found this on his wikipedia page:

From 1986 to 1987 he was a member of the rock group Journey (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Journey_(band)). Jackson joined Journey for their 1986 album Raised on Radio (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raised_on_Radio) and subsequent tour.

it sure doesn't look like there are any pickups on the bass. Maybe they're hidden somewhere with some cool luthier's trick. Anyway, that jacket he's wearing in the pic is worth the price of admission alone.

If you check out his bio, he's played with quite a few big names to include Keith Richards, Mariah Carey, Narada Michael Walden, Whitesnake, Bon Jovi, Aretha Franklin...
