You might want to try this for a swifter internet navigation and download. The QoScheduler Protocol found in your Xp protocol definition menu usually has a check which makes it available.....In early Internet years this "Quality of Service" protocol was used specially with down streams of data. Some ISP donīt even use it anymore, some still do.....anyway it reserves buffer space which if not needed is just wasting space......you can try to see if your "surfing speed gets better and downloads also" just by disabilitating on your menu.....if you see adverce situations ( check streaming video) just click it on again......:kilroy:...its has made my surfing a little better and swifter downloads even with my T-1.

Where would one find that setting in XP?

Look in your connection properties.
I just did this 'tweak'. For as long as I can remember I have had an ungodly problem with my ISP's e-mail system. Took forever to load, send, etc. Now it is running like I expect it to! Coincidence? Hard to say, but all the same I raise a toast to this one! :icon29:
