I've been mucking about with B24 Guy's rework of the SBD Dauntless in FS9. Nothing in the VC is clickable. Is there anyway to turn this on or is it a function of the model?

Hi Willy
If ya talking fs9,Ive had this problem before drove me nuts until I relised the pilot view was inside the headrest.if there are any polys between you and the panel then the mouse wont see the click spots.Use the ctrl shift enter/ backspace to zoom upto the panel to check if this is the case. The only other thing I know of is that some fs98 gauges click spots wont work in fs9

Wozza is right on both counts. You need to have direct access to the poly that the VC gauges are mounted on for the mouse interaction to work.
From what I've seen, FS98-style gauges react to VC mounting just like they do to being on a 2D panel window that is "render_3d_window=1"...I.E. the mouse interaction doesn't work. Keep em on a non-3D window and you're fine though...or you can substitute in FS2000-newer (also the CFS1 stockers) gauges.

Thanks. Yall both hit it on the head. About 4 rounds of cntrl-backspace and everything was clicking quite well. Now to translate those 4 hits to viewpoint. ;)
