When an aircraft hits the ground and explodes is this the effect used to render an explosion?

Hi lewis, my guess is that you are looking at an air explosion, not a ground explosion but hey I don't know..:running:

I am going to rename some of the explosion effects from the stock effects file and add these to my modified one. I want to add variation to the explosion effects.

Lewis, the effect shoudl appear in the middle of the xdp, after the gun and pilot position stuff. Where the "weapon" line appears for the aircraft in question. This is where I tried to make the the V-1 react as flack but to no good end. It's what happens when the aircraft hits the ground like a bomb, not blows up in air.

Thanks flyer! I started by copying all the fire and explosion effects from the xml that are listed as damage in the xpd. My first thought was I might have a few columns of text to copy. It turned into sub group after sub group so after waisting a couple hours I had a better idea. Im going to rename every effect with the first letter X. Then I will go through and rename all the references to .dds files, then rename the stock .dds files. That should be much quicker.
