Can someone please post a lot of pics of the A2A corsair Im interested in buying her but want to see a little more detail and better pictures. Thank you and are you happy with your purchase does it compair with their p-40 or bf-109 that detail and flight character?

I believe that it definiately equals their non accusim products and to my mind is better than say the realfight Hellcat. On par with the Realair Spit.

Would love to post some screens but still cannot upload any from here.

Note that there is already a topic discussing this.

I'll never understand why the RealAir Spit is such a benchmark. Anyway, I'd put the new F4U about on a par with the A2A P-40. In other words it's very good indeed, but neither the textures nor the VC are quite in the same league as the RealFlight Hellcat.

To be totally honest I didn't find it anywhere near the level of the RealAir Spit or A2A P-40, and find those comparisons a bit misleading as the product isn't meant to complete on that level. That is to say I purchased it after hearing such comments and was dissapointed.

Personally I would take any of the FSX native A2A WOP2 fighters (like the BF109 or Spitfire) over the Corsair, because in my mind they're a more balanced product with better texture art and sound design for a cheaper price($18). But that's just me, and I'm probably a snob since I've got a box where my good toys go, and anything that's not in that box just isn't any good. :icon_lol:

Those cheap A2A "Solo" birds are in that box though and have a real feeling of being crafted with pride, where the Corsair has a feeling of being crafted by the lowest bidder. Remember A2A didn't develope it, they just cleaned it up and published it. While I praise the products I like to no end, I have to give true impressions on the rest.

I was pleased it was as good as it is for a budget model and to be honest I dont even really have much real interest in the real thing. Im looking forward to A2A giving it the Accusim treatment.

Is it good enough to just add accusim over the top of the existing product or will the textures, the sound, the flight tuning, the animations and the model have to be completely redone?

One would hope that improvements would be made in most areas to make it more like the A2A Jugg

I agree nice shots!!

Just goes to prove, not everyone has the same level of expectations in their sim. For me, I have no interest in accusim, just not my thing. I LOVE the corsair, not to heavy on system resources and looks great, just what I want.

I have quite a few detailed aircraft that I just don't fly as they tax my system to much and takes any enjoyment out of it. My sim settings are locked and if an aircraft can't perform within those parameters, then it's gone.

Thanks guys. I'll be glad when it has accusim soley for the VC audio. Nothing funner than hearing the real clicking sounds in the cockpit

I started on this mail, but was distracted. Anyway, a few shots from me as well

All comparisons are subjective of course, but no, this does not feel like a regular A2A job, VC feels rather simple (not as good as the P-40 in my mind, more like the earlier ones, and how old are they?), sounds are not totally convincing, and the textures (just 3) disappoint a bit. Look at the second pic: the colors don't line up below the roundel. Look at the last one: the lines don't match at the rudder. Doesn't feel like Martin's hand I dare say. I'm not sure about the flight model, but mine doesn't like climbing..
Nice model, but I think the earlier 'solo' models are better value (if only they'd fixed the P-51 prop..) at the lower price.
Hellcat feels better, more textures too.
I've never been a fan of the Real Air Spit, haven't flown it in a year, so can't really compare.
This is still the best I think, cheap for what you get:

For the money this is a good value. Without a doubt the best true FSX F4U Corsair at this moment.

I do hope they release a paintkit soon so we see more paints for it.

Bought it, it's OK, but far from great, IMHO. It'll be one of those A/C that I rarely fly. Heresy here, I suppose, but I prefer the Corsair in Il-2, LOL! Great fun to do the pattern while on sea duty.

As to the Realair Spit, I don't have the FSX version (yet!), but when the first iteration came out for FS9, it WAS a great airplane. Sound, textures, FM, all at the top of the bar at the time.

The Air Factory Corsair from A2A is not perfect. nor up to the WOP or Accusim standards yet. And it isn't sold to reflect either one. Tho I'm guessing it will be "greatly" improved one of these days when the time becomes available to do so. So don't give up. As it is, it's still pretty damed good IMHumbleO. Takeoffs are a treat... just make sure you have everything set they way they should be. ;)

Besides, she's just out of the hangar so you gotta be patient. ;)

My impression, from the discussion of sound in the A2A forum, is that customers shouldn't expect improvements in this version of the product. See http://shockwaveproductions.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=58&t=14640&sid=92eb2ed97e2db0d658b002a6a439b3d3. What they probably can expect are some additional repaints, once there is a paintkit; see http://shockwaveproductions.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=58&t=14551&sid=92eb2ed97e2db0d658b002a6a439b3d3.

Without a doubt the best true FSX F4U Corsair at this moment.

Isn't it the ONLY true FSX Corsair? :kilroy:

I've still not bought it. I kind of doubt I will (despite it being my favorite WWII fighter). It is nice seeing everyone's screenshots though.

Yes, it is and that's why I bought it. It's far from perfect and I wrote a hasty review, you can find it at this link.
