i wonder if those who just bought the wheeled version they put out, will get the floater for free?

That's what I was thinking at first, or at least a discount.
But I've fallen into the trap of confusing simming with real life again - of course if I had a real C172N then adding floats would be cheaper than buying a whole new aircraft.
But this is a whole new model so I would expect it to be full price.
Carenado will probably come up with a deal involving the float and wheeled version together but I expect that will be all.
In that respect (and at the risk of sounding ungrateful which I am not!) I wish they would have come up with something like a C170 Float instead - something entirely new.

I agree - I cant remember what the Stationair price policy was for the amphib model?

I bought the amphib addon and, iirc, it was $10, but that was 3 computers ago, so I won't swear by it...:monkies:

when i bought the 206 the floaters came with it.

also, doubt if it's a whole new model. they prolly took the 172 and erased the wheels, added ski's, tweaked the cfg a little and called it a day. looks like they added a little triangle under the tail. and a different paint job.
