The
California 1000 Air Race 1970
(http://www.adastron.com/lockheed/constellation/racer.htm), run at the
Mojave Airport
(http://www.mojave.ca.us/museum/photos-cftc-airraces.htm)was to feature two unusual contestants , a DC 7B called Super Snoopy and a Super Connie named the Red Baron as well as the more commonly found unlimiteds.

As an avid Air Race fan and member of Props Racing at WestCoastATC.com i was fascinated by the story and the challenge that was involved in recreating this race , most races take 5-6 minutes and this would be closer to four hours .<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>

Other impediments were the Aircraft involved were not yet available as FSX Native, being able to get the planes created was step one and recreating the course using satellite images was step two , the easy part was going to be getting the servers ready with FS Race , as a director of WestCoast i had access to all the Band Width needed on a fibre optic network of servers and plenty of experienced Air Racing Fanatics that i fly with regularly , one last step remains with "Super Snoopy" almost done all the elements will be in place for one hell of a race.<o:p></o:p>

Details on this event to follow as they become reality , My thanks to Francisco Sanchez-Castaner for his help in bringing this project to life .
