What determines how long a stickied thread stays up?
I ask because some new releases have been made, and they were dropped to the regular forum within a day or two it seems, but some have been up there for a long time. I'm just curious is all.

I think it's all manual, as in it's the mod's discretion.

Depends on who stickies/unstickies it. I go by interest if a minor release as when to sticky and for unstickied, I go by the amount of them vs the time from the last post.
Personally I try and make threads with freeware releases more of a priority since it gives the developer a little more pride and gives more users a chance to try out their creation.

I have no clue actually...I have stickied a few but never dropped them...
The list does tend to get long at times.Perhaps thats why some are dropped off...

It depends on who's watching
I stick some myself
if it gets cluttered i may unstick ones that have had no response in a while
