Phew, brilliant job landing the king Air 200. I am sure we are all wondering how we would cope in such a circumstance. Once you have thrown the ego out with the bathwater you realize the stress and gravity of the situation. Well done that man!
Good audio - Thanks for posting

I think anyone with real world flying experience could handle it, even if they'd never flown a complex. He's pretty calm for someone that watched another (whom we can only assume was his buddy) die. There is no mention of a medical emergency over the radio, which I think is wierd.

I suspect this is an edited tape. We don't hear the initial contact which would have included the known details about the pilot in the left seat. A couple other thoughts: At the beginning of the flight there were 5 Souls on Board. If the pilot flying was sure that their were now only 4, he didn't let on. I don't know if it came up here, but the other three were the remaining pilot's wife and two daughters. That didn't change anything in the remainder of the flight. As usual, the media reports I heard pulled about 5 seconds out of the tape and made him sound somewhat less under control than we hear in this version.

Could I do it?, Oakfloor is right.

The guy is one of those rare people who somehow are born to fly.....well done.
To those that say " I could do that" congratulations for your confidence...BUT, even though it sound relatively easy, it is not!!!...flying a twin is no easy task even with some single engine experience.....with FS9, XPlane or FSX experience I would not give the guy much of a chance. Remember you dont know how it feels if you have NO movement....anyway, if you ever find yourself in that situation..Good Luck!!!!
