Today is a bitter sweet day at my hanger.

The FDG A-20G was the lone hold out I still operated from the original FDG. Over the years their aircraft were replaced in my hanger by others, like the P-47N, and the P-51D. But the FDG A-20G just never seemed to have a good replacement, till Tango's arrived.

The chief took the war weary FGD A-20G and gave it to the navy. I later on found out that the Navy dumped it over the side...
...when them Navy boys gonna learn that planes don't float?:173go1:

Beautiful aircraft! :)

Is there any chance that a 22 Squadron RAAF Boston skin is in the works? Perhaps of VC winner Bill Newton's DU-Q? :wiggle: :wiggle:

Thanks - not really -The RAAF had Boston III's (A20 B/C) it would be more suited to the Alpha Hard nose mod I think ......

SC's right. 'DU-Q' and other 22 Sqn aircraft were B/Cs with the nose glazing overpainted

Sorry to say SC the ALPHA A-20C/Boston III is useless for mission building. The FPS is that bad.

You and TR's new G on the other hand is great on the FPS.

A very nice job Tango and SC!

I haven't had a chance to grab it yet, but I don't suppose the new model is mapped to use the original FDG1 textures is it? If it is, I think there are still a few repaints for the old gal in the file library here.

This was one that I started converting to gmax myself several years ago...but it never made it very far. Glad to see the A-20 back in the air again!!!

Thanks for the compliments - Sorry to disappoint, but the texture mapping is totally different - tho' based on the FDG Source files - its a totally new model .........

Can I make a request?

I have never found a P-70 night fighter for any combat sim. So maybe this could be a first? Just an idea.:woot:

All you'd have to do is follow the advice of the Rolling Stones and then add some radar antennae.

That... and find a way to remove the martin turret, make a four 20mm cannonbelly pack, and do a version with six .50cal machine guns mounted in blisters on the sides while the nose has the plywood cap for the radar....

I love airplane history!

I threw together a little panel mod package for TR's A-20 that will give the same rear turret viewpoints as we used in the original FDG A-20.
Now available in the CFS2 Panels section. http://www.sim-outhouse.com/index.php?loc=admin&page=info&FileID=13979

Here's a few screenshots from the original FDG MDL that I used for the tweak. I wasn't able to keep the tinted glazing in the turret but the viewpoints are the same.
