The titel of the book . . ?

I'm trying to remember the title of a book I have read once. About Iwo Jima, US Navy pilots, cannibalism among Japanese soldiers, and ghastly stuff like that.

'The Boys from Iwo Jima' is not the title. But something like that?

Can any of you gentlemen lead me towards the right title?

Well, after all, it was not that book. But, you led me in the right direction, Lefty. :)

The writer was actually James Bradley. But the book I was ultimately thinking of was this one: 'Flyboys: The final secret of the air war in the Pacific'
