I am working on Bitburg airfield ( runway centred at N49*56.72 E6*33.39 in game ) for FS9 at the moment, buy can't get an Exclude to work on it so I can start putting buildings on it (let alone take off, there are trees everywhere!).
It compiles ok, but doesn't work in game. I have attached the exclude I have, but I mustn't have entered co-ordinates right in it.The readme me from MS just shows +90 to -90 for lat and +180 to -180 for long to enter for it,but not how to get that from N S E W co-ords.I tried redoing it a few ways, but that didn't seem to work either.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Karaya, I'm not a fs9 developer but cfs2, so I can't help you with the XML.
But I know there are some coordinate calculators out there. What I do in these situations is load the area my project is in with LWMViewer (the stock scenery in \scenedb\... HP****.bgl files are the water files, RD*.bgl the roads, etc.).
In LWMViewer you can then read the exact coordinates in both notations, and you can then see exactly what you are excluding.

I had a similer problem with something i was working on, could'nt lose a stock control tower from my scenery, untill someone recommended a program called Excbuilder by Paavo Pihelgas found over at avsim, very handy and easy to use, you can chose what objects you can lose or keep and make exclusion areas only a few meters square, although you'll need to download another program, FSconnect, which links this program with FS9 and also you'll need the help files by David "Opa" Marshall that also includes the relevent FS9 SDK's, its a hassle downloading these files but once install'd you can use many other usful and fun design programs for FS9.

Ian,do you know where to find FSconnect?I tried searching here,Simviation and on Google but can't find it!
I tried usuing the LWM viewer SdC recommended but it is only showing the standard N S E W style Co Ords.

To switch the position indicator in lwmviewer to decimal, uncheck the box "Position in minutes" on the toolbar.
fsconnect.dll is included in EZ-landclass: http://library.avsim.net/search.php?SearchTerm=ez-landclass&CatID=fs2004sd&Go=Search
