Couldn't stay around for F-1, but I stayed up long enough to see my man Jeff Burton take Charlotte and move up to second in the Chump Chase. I'm just happy to see him win!

Will see F-1 on the replay.

Agreed!! :d

It's nice to see the RCR cars doing well, although my Kansas boy wasn't able to stay up front.

All in all, Richard childress Racing had a great weekend!!!

Hey All,

Bowyer finished 12th. Here are the chase standings with I think 5 races to go.

1) #48-Jimmie Johnson 5878 [5 wins]
2) #31-Jeff Burton 5809 -69 [2 wins]
3) #16-Greg Biffle 5792 -86 [2 wins]
4) #99-Carl Edwards 5710 -168 [6 wins]
5) #07-Clint Bowyer 5693 -185 [1 win]
6) #29-Kevin Harvick 5671 -207
7) #20-Tony Stewart 5650 -228 [1 win]
8) #24-Jeff Gordon 5633 -245
9) #18-Kyle Busch 5552 -326 [8 wins]
10) #88-Dale Earnhardt Jr. 5524 -354 [1 win]
11) #17-Matt Kenseth 5518 -360
12) #11-Denny Hamlin 5498 -380 [1 win]

Pretty clear that Jimmy and Chad are racing for a Cup not wins - as he was 6th last night - smart.

Not according to Jimmie! In an interview with the SPEED guys, he said his car was way too loose, that he wanted to go for the win, but couldn't make his car work, and that he was pretty disgusted with a 6th place finish. That sounds more like the Jimmie Johnson I've seen up to this point...

Hey All,

I've no doubt Jimmy wanted to go for more as that is his favorite track but he didn't risk anything because he knew he didn't have the car. Do you risk more when there is no Cup on the line? I think so. Take what you can get every race and don't risk a wreck when the Cup matters most. That's what Jimmy and Chad are doing. Nobody will remember who won Lowe's fall race 10 years from now but they will remember who won the cup.
