Well work and the rest of you conspired against me flying much today, oh well :banghead::banghead::banghead: (mostly work :mixedsmi:)

I did get a little chance to play around with a couple new additions of mine, the excellent freeware Su-34 I found on Flightsim.com http://www.flightsim.com/cgi/file?rk=XjoXw040&fm=main&cm=LISTFILES&rp=/cgi/kds%3FXjoXw040=main/top.htm and the new zealand carrier here http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?FileName=waikato1.zip

I'm now a little hooked on carriers, but I'd like something other than the jets to play around with.

Can anyone recommend some good freeware carriers and prop planes/jets that have a tailhook and work with arrestor cables (or can be modified to work with)?

Thanks,
Chris

There is a great Modern carrier (Nimitz?) placed on a lake in BC near it's authors home, availabe at the outhouse,I believe. Addtionally there is the TF16 group available here, Enterprise and Hornet and escorts.

Any can be used with the RCBMiljets (sp) package of arrestor 'guages'. which is fitted to the aircraft.

The Alpha Bleu Ciel F4U-7 is one of the nicest freeware Corsairs out there.

We've several sets of WWII era carriers in the FS9 downloads section and the old FS8 ArrCab carriers pack of 18 modern carriers which are now freeware and work well in FS9.

Plus the Carrier Ops gauge pack like Fliger said.

Thanks guys, I'll find those.

Got the gauges and arrestor cables working nicely with the Flanker and NZ carrier, its a blast on those catapult takeoffs :d

Now if I can just finish up early enough to do a leg!
